2011 Powhatan Pinewood Derby
The 2011 Powhatan Pinewood Derby will take place from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Feb. 12 at the Pender United Methodist Church at 12401 Alder Woods Drive in Fairfax.Complete and timely pre registration is also needed so as to have a successful District event for our scouts. First place racing and concours winners from each Den level of your Pack are eligible to participate. Registration is $10 and you MUST be registered and prepaid by February 4, 2011.

Pack 159 will pay the $10 entry fee for each scout. The first place winner for each rank in addition to the best in Show for each rank gets a chance to test their cars against other winners from the Powhatan District. Please let Jack Prisciandaro know ASAP if you can not attend as we will give the 2nd , 3rd, etc place winner the opportunity to compete.
Note, also we need and will call on scout leaders with volunteer efforts during this event We are asking that you register your service efforts with our special volunteer registration website. Volunteer registration website is:
This will greatly help us in delivering a fun and successful event for the scouts. Pick a volunteer time slot one hour before or after your son's derby event. This way you will have fun volunteering and seeing your scout enjoy with all of his special events for the day.
